HP-UX 11.31 3Par - LVM Host Base Mirror a-sync

Hi

we got sone  superdomes  ,

currently testing with 3Par storage :

we need  for  a  certain  databases  ( oracle DB ) the  highest speed .

former  we had XP Storage  with ( A-Sync) CA .

we prefere to use  LVM HostBase Mirroring .

are  there  any possibilities  to set the  LVM HBM also A-sync ??  taking the  risc for corrupt data  we know  ..

we notice  the  latecy between the  3Par is  slowing down ....

can anyone advise us  in this  ??

As far as I know, no, you cannot force mirrors to async mode with Mirror Disk/UX.

I think you would actually have poorer performance with host-based mirroring than with array based mirroring.

If you are noticing a performance lag with your 3-par deivce, perhaps that is worth a call to HP.

The  3 Par work  fine .

But even a small delay  of 2mS  ( latency)  in write  between two Datacentra   can be  a problem with millions  and  millions of writes , that's  why we would like  to setup for  this  particular database a A-sync host Base  Mirror  like  Linux  is  able  for  .

Unfortunately  not available  on HP-UX  as far as I know?

You're not using 3PAR's Remote Copy instead?
