Is Root Mirroring softwar coming inbuilt with all HP-UX OS versions ?
Software RAID ....
I am using 11.23 , but not able to see the same.
YOur help is much appreciated ...

The question is why you want software RAID. It's certainly slower than hardware based RAID on frames itself.

Solution11.23 vxvm configuration permits you to mirror only the rootvg without additional software install.
For LVM configurations the software is called mirror/ux, and you need to pay for it, get a codeword and then enter the codeword into the swinstall interface to do the install.
The software includes a kernel module and most likely requires a reboot.

For LVM Mirroring via Mirror/UX, it depends on the HP-UX Operating Environment you have.
If you have the HP-UX Base OE, then NO you do not get Mirror/UX.
If you have a higher level OE, like Enterprise OE, or Mission Critical OE, then YES you get Mirror/UX included.
