lvextend error

when doing a a Hard Mirror and at lvol6 i had a problem .
#lvextend -m 1 /dev/vg00/lvol6 /dev/dsk/c1t5d0 /dev/dsk/c1t6d0
the newly allocated mirrors are now bing synhronized. This operation will take some time . please wait
and after that this error message appeared

lvextend : Couldn't re-synchronize stale partitons of the logical volume : I/O error
lvextend :Couldn't resynchronize logical volume "/dev/vgoo/lvol6".

what this message means and what the solution

Seems that you have error in HDD.
check with this command

#lvdisplay -v /dev/vg00/lvol8 | grep stale

Shalom, the target disk is either offline or has bad sectors.

Check /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log for lbolt errors and either use another disk for the mirror or conduct repairs.

You need how many no:of copies?( -m 1 or 2 ?)
#vgdisplay -v vg00 | grep -i stale
check for stale PEs.
Also #vgdisplay -v vg00
Check that the hard disks are 'available'.
