vxfsstat
I have two systems that are similar in function, although the file system layout is different
when I run vxfsstat, I get two very different output.
Server 1.

Server 2.
01:05:11.364 Fri Nov 30 01:05:11 2012 -- absolute sample
Lookup, DNLC & Directory Cache Statistics
80032 maximum entries in dnlc
75090576770 total lookups 98.09% fast lookup
75154168932 total dnlc lookup 99.05% dnlc hit rate

0 total dircache setup 0.00 calls per setup

inode cache statistics

655737309 lookups 15.52% hit rate <----
80003 inodes alloced 0 freed
29017 sec recycle age
-1 sec free age
At face value, it appears that with server 1 with %hit rate at 98.2% that it is performing much better than server 2 which is running at 15.52%
Can someone confirm that is correct, or am I not understanding the output correclty?
