C++ 5.4 to 6.1 upgrade

is there an upgrade path from 5.4 to 6.1 avail?
need to duplicate an older version in use.

Install the compiler you want? What's the
mystery?

I might suspect that the OS version might
matter, but, no doubt, you'd've mentioned
that if it did.

I would think of it as an installation kit
rather than an upgrade. I doubt that there
is such a thing as a compiler upgrade kit.

If you have a support contract, I'd try that
first. If not, then you may need to find
someone who has an appropriate Software
Products Library (SPL) CD-ROM kit. There
appears to be a newer (V6.5) kit at:

ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/C-CXX/tru64/cxx/

along with some RTL kits, some or all of
which could be useful, depending on the
actual problem you're trying to solve (which
remains a mystery to us non-psychics).

Old SPL kits appear from time to time on
Ebay, too. Finding one from the V4.0F times
may be challenging. I have nothing that
old.

Strictly speaking, you may also need an
upgrade license to make it all legal, but I
assume that we're not worrying about that.
