From what I understand, the only time the DBA needs the aCC/C++ items is when she is upgrading to new versions. We don't use it for development. But she says that if she has it, the install goes faster, and since the upgrade will take most of a weekend, faster may be a big deal.
So, based on all of that, do we get any advantage if we have aCC_link installed? And if so, is there a way that I can download it without needing to order the media?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

SolutionRight. The purpose of aCC_link is to install applications like Oracle E-Business Suite.
>if she has it, the install goes faster,
I'm not sure how "faster" is involved. If you don't have it, you are dead in the water. (Unless Oracle offers some Plan B?)
>is there a way that I can download it
Not sure. Possibly through the SUM program? See "Software Update Manager" link to the left

Re: Can aCC_link be downloaded? Is it needed?
FYI,
I checked SUM and can't get it without the media.
Thanks again for your help.

It should be on DVD2 of every 11iv2 Applications set since March 2008:

But the most recent media I have is from 2007. Oh well. ;-)

Re: Can aCC_link be downloaded? Is it needed?
There is a e-Delivery program provide electronic media for HP-UX media. Note sure if that covers the Application media too?
I guess that's for 11.31 only:

If you log a call with the response centre, you *might* be able to convince an RC engineer to drop the acc_link software on a temporary HP FTP site for you.
