HP ANSI/C++

I bought the soft  B9007AA which are include into the DVD -  BA496AA

OS is HP-UX 11.23i.

I would like to install the compiler A.06.27 HP ANSI/C++ which suppose to be included

But no way, it's not visible into the DVD (see in attach).

Is someone could help me to unlock this ?

I already enter the associated codeworld

I assume you mean 11.31 since you can't get A.06.27 for 11.23.

How did you enter the swlist or swinstall command?

If you get it installed, note that A.06.27.03, PHSS_43203 is the latest.

Re: HP C/aC++

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for your help.

Nevertheless i coinfirm that version used is
HP-UX 11.23 IA64

We were be able to install trial version of the compiler on our system
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B9007AAEVAL

That's why, we don't understand why it's not compatible with the DVD provided.

As we are on test and Dev environment and need to have the same version of OS as the client, we cannot upgrade into 11.31 version

The command we used is
swinstall

it will take us to menu based program and there we can have the option to add the codeword. after adding this codeword only, we can see the softwares from the cd

Newer versions of aC++ are NOT supported on 11.23.

Did you force install it?  The trial version is only available for 11.31.

>need to have the same version of OS as the client, we cannot upgrade into 11.31 version

These are conflicting requirements.  If the client is on 11.23, you'll need to use an older version of aC++.

Re: HP C/aC++ for 11.23

Thanks again Denis,

>Did you force install it?  The trial version is only available for 11.31.

Yes we force it and we are able to use it. The workaround solution we found to avoid to be stuck is to change the date of the server in order to be able to continue using this trial version

Yes, in fact client use the version

aCC: HP ANSI C++ B3910B A.05.50

But as this an oudated version, we are not able to have it

Is there any other to have this version ?

My main concern is that we have pay for this compiler (around 7000 €) and we don't have any final version...

This wouldn't be legal.

This obsolete aCC5 version from 2003 isn't supported.

>Is there any other to have this version?

The last 11.23 version is A.06.25.02 in PHSS_41499.

If you ask Support nicely and explain your situation, perhaps they can supply you with A.06.25.

Hi Dennis,

>This wouldn't be legal.

I assume that, but what is not fair is that you pay for a product that you cannot use ..;

Thanks a lot for this information, maybe it could help us to deal with HP

Did you explain you paid for something you can't use?

Re: HP C/aC++ for 11.23

Hi Dennis,

I ordered and pay this product with a official vendor which order this to HP

I already pay to have the good version of the compiler, and from now we have nothing ...

So we paid 7000 $ for a product which it doesn't work on our plateform...
