Re: HP C ansi version

Check with your HP representative.

I would imagine you could use your 11.11 keyword for 11.23.

Re: HP C ansi version

I suppose it should work, but would suggest to get latest one. The compilers and tools keeps on changing with enhanced features.

Re: HP C ansi version

You cannot install the PA-RISC C compiler
on Itanium. Well, technically, maybe you
*can* install it, but it will not function
properly. The compiler itself may run
(under emulation) but the libraries supplied
with it will be PA-RISC ones. You cannot
mix PA object code with IA64 object code.

You need to get the Itanium compiler.

Re: HP C ansi version

I suppose the compiler should work fine, becaue HP ships most of the PA-RISC librairies under /usr/lib and /usr/lib/pa20_64 directory. the compiler should be able to generate the object files sucefully.

However, I have doubts regarding the linker behvaior. I am not sure if it would be able to link the object files and libraires properly.
