Am I going crazy? I have the source for apache2.2.11. I'm looking for mod_ssl for it. Google brings up 35 million entries for mod_ssl with apache2.2.11. HOWEVER....I have yet to find just 1 site with the mod_ssl installation file for apache2.2.11.

Shalom,

Re: does mod_ssl exist for apache2.2.11?
I don't want to work with the HP installation yet. That is an option later on. I'm all set to build Apache. Except mod_ssl is missing.
It's like saying the internet is missing. This is kind of a big thing to misplace.

Re: does mod_ssl exist for apache2.2.11?
I'm closing this.
The answer is: mod_ssl is included inside apache2.
I'm surprised I didn't really get this answer from anybody. I found only one guy on a linux forum that barely mentioned it. I had to confirm it by hand.
This question had the goofy appearance of a Government Coverup. Mod_ssl in Apache is not obvious. Most books say to get mod_ssl from the mod_ssl site, which is not true.
fyi: if you tell apache to enable all modules. It won't enable any. But it might pretend it did. And if you tell apache to enable most modules, it will. But not mod_ssl.
