fortran installation

We have fortran programs on a production K250
with HPUX 10.20.
This same program was copied to a development system also running 10.20, however, the performance on the second server is pitiful.
These programs a designed to be self efacing, no shared libraries.
Can anyone suggest a kernel param that would help the execution of the fortran programs?
I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep and miles to go before I sleep
