Wait for reset , 4 ..3 ..2..1..0

Won't go past this

Is ther a key sequence to break out of the auto boot

Has anyone else been able to resolve this problem.

Re: 3Com 8760

Hello, WAMC!

I had the same problem, and there is my solution:

1. Power on your Access Point

ar531x rev 0x00005742 firmware startup...
SDRAM TEST...PASSED
Boot-Shim Version: 1.0.0
Boot-Shim Booting...

The Pressed-time of Reset Button is 0 seconds

Selecting SoftwareLoad Now!

Selected the FAT SoftwareLoad!
Starting at 0xbe060000...

ar531x rev 0x00005742 firmware startup...
SDRAM TEST...PASSED
Boot Code version: 1.2.1

2. Interrupt boot process by pressing Esc key immediately after beginning of reverse counting

 4  3 <Esc>

3. Press Enter key twice to go to boot console

[Boot]:
[Boot]:

4. Print boot parameters

[Boot]: p

boot device          : tffs:
unit number          : 0
processor number     : 0
file name            : /fl/dflt-img.bin
inet on ethernet (e) : 192.168.1.1:0xffffff00
flags (f)            : 0x0
target name (tn)     : s=factory
other (o)            : ae

5. Change boot parameters

[Boot]: c

'.' = clear field;  '-' = go to previous field;  ^D = quit

boot device          : tffs:0
processor number     : 0
host name            :
file name            : /fl/dflt-img.bin /fl/3com-img.bin
inet on ethernet (e) : 192.168.1.1:0xffffff00
inet on backplane (b):
host inet (h)        :
gateway inet (g)     :
user (u)             :
ftp password (pw) (blank = use rsh):
flags (f)            : 0x0
target name (tn)     : s=factory
startup script (s)   :
other (o)            : ae

E.g. we are changing "file name" parameter to value selected as bold.

6. Contiunue normal boot process

[Boot]: @
Attached TCP/IP interface to ae0.
Warning: no netmask specified.
Attaching network interface lo0... done.
Attaching to TFFS... Attaching to TFFS... done.

Wait for reset , 4 ..3 ..2..1..0

Loading /fl/3com-img.bin...Boot web up ...
18984 + 2443552 + 105600
Starting at 0x80880000...

Please check the ethernet cable on port 0!

Re: 3Com 8760

Hello! I have this problem second time, with the same model of AP. And suggested solution was helpful.
