Regarding POS Application Performance Testing

Hi,

I have to do performance testing for a POS application which is hosted on the Linux server. This POS application is optimized for Mozilla Firefox. Is it possible to do the testing using a Windows 7 machine having a LoadRunner installation. I tried to record the application using firefox and LoadRunner 9.5 but nothing is getting recorded. Can we use firefox to record an application with LoadRunner. Please help.

Hi,

You could check LR PAM here.

Good Luck.

Re: Regarding POS Application Performance Testing

Check with the developers for the type of communication being used for this application as that is what LoadRunner records, if you do not get communication recorded you may be using the wrong protocol to record.

Re: Regarding POS Application Performance Testing

Hi Sid,

We can only resolve tech questions on the forum, problems with your account you will need to contact the people that handle HP Passport, you can check on your account preferences for that. Although to view product information you do need to have a valid SAID attached to your account. It could be that.

Either way, going back to my last reply. You do need to know what communication protocol your application uses to choose the best protocol to record. There is a protocol advisor tool with Vugen, you can also use that.
