MSM 720 Certificate issue with Windows 7 and IOS

We are implementing a MSM 720 with 3 vsc's  The Primary internal vsc is set up for 802.1x auth against AD.  We are using a GoDaddy Cert for EAP, but get strange errors when connecting from windows 7 - "The server * presented a valid certificate issued by GoDaddy Class 2 Certification authority" but this is not configured as a valid trust anchor for this profile.  Further the server * is not configured as a valid NPS server to connect to for this profile.  The credentials provided by the server could not be validated.  We recommend that you terminate the connection and contact your administrator with the information provided in the details"  I cannot find anything that relates to this.  Has anyone solved this?  Our AD is win 2008r2 and we are running 5.7.1.0-12379.
