MSM430 snmp monitoring number of connected users

Hi,

I just bought a dozen of MSM430 AP (J9651A) installed and configured  without any issue.

We are experiencing some difficulties to monitor (through snmp v2) the number of connected users on the AP.

With our old Colubris and MSM422 the OID giving us that information was located at 1.3.6.1.4.1.8744.5.4.1.1.1.6

(i.e. coDot11NumberOfUsers)

But that information is not available anymore, and no way to find it on MSM430.

snmpwalk on "SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises" returns ~1000 lines on a MSM422 and only 100 lines on MSM430

Am I missing something?

Thank you for your help,

Paul

In my case, I was able to get it using the MIBs for the MSM760 controller. I believe the actual OID name was "co device wireless interface status" ... we monitor it within PRTG pretty successfully.

Re: MSM430 snmp monitoring number of connected users

Hi,

thank you for your help,

I just updated the firmware to the last version (6.3) and the OID are back:

.1.3.6.1.4.1.8744.5.4.1.1.1.6.4.1 (for radio1)

.1.3.6.1.4.1.8744.5.4.1.1.1.6.5.1 (for radio2)

Regards,

Paul
