Sender address rejected: Domain not found

Hi ,

We have sendmail 8.11 in our setup.

hpux 11iv2

When trying to send mails from server we are getting ;

Sender address rejected: Domain not found .

I have added DMdomain.com in sendmail.cf

Anything else to be added. ??

What is the format of the sender address?

Hi we need instead of root@tiger.ced.in    it must be abc@ced.in our mail provider says then only it will work...

Re: Sender address rejected: Domain not found

I've used DM before and it works fine.

But in my case I had 4 components in the FQDN and changed to three.

Re: Sender address rejected: Domain not found

Hi Dennis ,

You mean DMced.in  right ?

I have tried , restarted sendmail but am sending through root user is it beacuse of that its not working ?

As far as DS[202.162.241.37]  this entry is fine right ?

My mail service provider says all u have to make sure is the format is root@ced.in instead of root@tiger.ced.in out of which tiger is hostname of the server.

where can i find sendmail.mc file in hpux ?? can i use it here ?

Re: Sender address rejected: Domain not found

The template .mc file for the standard HP-UX sendmail.cf is at /usr/newconfig/etc/mail/cf/cf/generic-hpux10.mc. See the HP-UX specific instructions in /usr/newconfig/etc/mail/cf/README.hpux10 file

Have read in a forum
