DHCP 184 suboption 3

Does anybody know if 184 sub option 3 (VLAN ID) would work for phones connected to NBX (R6 firmware) - I found the setup in the manual for VCX but was wondering if it also works under NBX.



If it does - can all phones be programmed this way old and new (31XX - new, 21xx - old)

I believe it works for the NBX as well. I can't be certain, though. I added option 184 to our DHCP server, but our phones knew the NBX IP prior to our SIP conversion. I guess the real test will come with the next new phone we get.

I am not sure if we are talking about the same thing. The ip address of NCP is suboption 1, suboption 3 should provide VLAN ID to the phone and thi sis what I am trying to find out.
