DVD drive using CPU100% on tc2010

Sony DVD drive plugged into IDE port but when coping from it CPU runs at 100%.How can we change this configuration

Please see in the task manager which process is causing this?
try killing this process and see whether system usages is decreased and DVD is working.

I suppose you need to have a proper driver for your machine tc 2010.
Oh! it may be also because of sharing the interrupt.

The task manager states that 'explorer.exe' is using upto 99% usage, yet another DVD drive on the same machine is only using 4%.There is no apparent sharing conflicts, and yes we have tried different players and drivers with no success when plugged into the motherboard ide port. How do you change the 'interrupt' when the device manager does not give you this option. Is there anything else we can try??

Daryl,

Often when you have explorer running at 100%, you may have shareware or virus issues. Run some spyware detection software and antivirus first.

Have done a full virus scan etc, all systems clean. Any other help?
