LH3 CPU Upgrade

I recently added a second PIII/550 to my netserver LH3. The BIOS was updated, and saw the CPU, no issue. The issue is when running Server 2000, the second CPU doesn't show up in Task Manager. Without re-installing the O.S., is there a way for it to be seen by Windows

Hi John,

You need to update your HAL in order to see the second processor at the O/S level.
Go into your device manager and expand the Computer category. In order for the second processor to be recognized, it needs to say "ACPI Multiprocessor HAL". Chances are it says something like "ACPI Uniprocessor HAL" or something to that effect.
You can update this component from it's properties.
