LH6000 w/keyboard trouble.
I have a lh6000 that has been in service for about 2 years now. Within the last 6 months I have begun to have a problem with my keyboard going dead after a period of time of being away from the console. The only way of getting the keyboard to function again is to bounce the server.
Any help will be greatly appriciated

Re: LH6000 w/keyboard trouble.
Randall,
How long does it take before you lose keyboard functionality? Hours? Days? Weeks? If it is hours, one way you could verify whether it is hardware or software would be to boot into the BIOS and leave it there over the weekend. If you don't lose keyboard in the BIOS when you would normally lose it in the OS, then a reinstall would be in order, otherwise you are looking at the keyboard or system board.
Ciao,
Greg

Re: LH6000 w/keyboard trouble.
Hi Randall,
are You using a keyboard directly connected to Your Netserver or any kind of console switch? A defective port in these devices can of course generate that problem as well - and as they are almost invisible one tends to forget they are there...
BTW: Have You tried another keyboard yet?
Arnd
