Netserver E60 upgrade
I had someone ask me if it was possible to upgrade this server to a 1Ghz PIII. This server is out of warranty so thats not an issue. But is this box proprietary so that a normal Abit motherboard and processor upgrade won't work or does the board and processor need to be a specific from HP?
Thanks for the info.

Re: Netserver E60 upgrade
Upgrade from HP point of view in impossible becouse HP not support PIII on E60 and as far as I know there is no possibility to upgrade to E800. In other hand E60 mainboard has a BX chipset but HP didn't release new BIOS for PIII support. You right motherboard looks like ordinary Abit motherboard and if new one has the same mount holes and power input is correct (should be becouse it is a ATX motherboard) shoudn't be any problem to put non-HP motherboard which supports PIII to case.
