TC4100 USB keyboard & Mouse
Anyone got a magic fix to be able to use a USB keyboard during the POST? Works OK when O/S is running but can't find anything in BIOS to enable USB keyboards - just the enable/disable built-in USB.
I guess this server is just too old to support USB keyboards?

Re: TC4100 USB keyboard & Mouse
I know on some older systems usb keyboard initialization at bootup was an issue. I suppose if worse came to worse a PS/2 to USB adapter might work.

Re: TC4100 USB keyboard & Mouse
To support USB keyboard at POST, the BIOS has to support the USB input. This is only available on newer systems since this was not as common a few years ago.
I know this system (PIII 1GHz) only partially supports this. That is, it was not implemented well and, even though enabled in BIOS, still I can not hit to enter the BIOS, I need to have a keyboard in the Keyboard port in order to do that.
Most P4 systems BIOS work well with USB devices from POST.
