NAS 1000s upgrade

Is it possible to upgrade the OS of my NAS 1000S to Windows Storage Server 2003 ?

How do I know if my 1000s is a v1 or v2? We are interested in upgrading our software to WSS 2003, but need to confirm it is available for our unit.

These upgrade kits cannot be used to upgrade Version 1 (v1) of the products listed above. Version 1 products cannot be upgraded to Windows Storage Server 2003 (WSS2003) because the hardware is not compatible with WSS2003.

The 1000s is a version 2 product.
