NAS 1200s KVM Reboot Problem
We have a NAS 1200s connected to a Compaq 8-port KVM switch. If the KVM port selected is for the NAS device, rebooting the NAS from the remote console will work fine. If the KVM port is set to another server utilizing the same switch, rebooting a NAS device remotely will cause it to hang - the power light will be amber, and the network LED will blink erratically - as if it is normally connected to the network. Pinging the device will not produce any replies.

Re: NAS 1200s KVM Reboot Problem
Brian,
Pull the 1200s from the KVM and bring it up locally attached to a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Configure the network settings and then run the 1200s in a headless environment. I've seen a few issues with the 1200s on a KVM.
Ciao,
Greg

Re: NAS 1200s KVM Reboot Problem
Thanks...
Further testing proved that the NAS will reboot normally if the KVM port IS selected, or if the KVM is disconnected altogether.
