NAS (Really easy question, but only if you know the answer)

Team,

I am looking in to NAS as an option for flexible storage. is it true that if I set up a share on the NAS server, I can access the data from a windows PC as a mapped drive or any flavour of unix using samba or NFS

any pointers to useful documentation would certaily benefit from 10 points

Many Thanks

Martin.

A NAS server is just a machine with the same protocols as your own PC :)

Therefore you can definately use samba/NFS/CIFS whetever. It wouldn't really be network storage if you couldn't!
