NAS and Windows Update

I heared that HP advises to stop the Automatic Update services on NAS servers, but I can't find anything to support this, other than the link below, whitch talks about 2000 SP3 and SP4. I have a 2000s and a DL380 G4, both running 2003 appliance server.
Can I, or can I not run Automatic Updates on the machine without loosing support from HP?

I am working to have the old policy and link you referenced removed.

Unfortunately the previous link is gone,
However here is the link detailing how to enable updater for the NAS. Also currently don't apply SP1 yet.
