NAS1200 and SIM agents
I was told by phone support that I should not install the Insight Management agents on the NAS1200 due to the quirks of Windows Storage Server. However, this prevents me from bringin the unit into my SIM for consolidated reporting and alerting. Does anyone know of a way around this?

Re: NAS1200 and SIM agents
The NAS1200 is not a Proliant, and therefore has none of the instrumentation that Insight Agents leverage. The reasons for not installing the agents has nothing to do with WSS - the agents are designed exclusively for use on ProLiant servers.
You may "plug" the NAS1200 into SIM via SNMP traps, but you obviously will not get the richness of detail provided with the Insight Agents.
