Re: service release on 1200s

Two ways:

1) HP NAS WebUI, Status tab, System Information tab, look at WebUI version (if version is 5.3, you have NAS SR3 installed)

2) Using Windows Explorer, c drive, open hpnas folder. If there is a SR installed, you should see a folder SR1 or SR2 or SR3.

Re: service release on 1200s

Keith, the WebUI has a line: Storage Works NAS WebUI, is says v3.1.1
I cannot find any folders starting with SR under the hpnas folder on C
does this mean ne SR is installed?

Re: service release on 1200s

Ton,

Sorry, v. 3.1.1 is the base version without any NAS Service Releases installed.

To obtain the latest NAS Service Release (cost and shippage is free), go to: http://software.hp.com

Click on the Storage and NAS link under Product category. At the bottom is the latest NAS Service Release.

Re: service release on 1200s

Thanks Keith, just ordered the cdrom.
Another question, i just upgraded my 1200S from 512mb to 1gb ram by taking out the 512 and replacing it with a 1gb dimm, can i add the 512mb dimm as well or is a mix of the two not allowed.

Re: service release on 1200s

I will not say having the additional 512MB cannot be done, but you will have your 1200s in a non-standard and untested configuration.
