NNM with oracle connection

I have a NNM whose database is oracle for some reasons i need to shift the oracle database on another server.

How do i change the connection and modify it to new oracle server ?

Re: NNM with oracle connection

Hello

I assume you are talking about NNMi 9.0x, 9.1x or 9.2x.

You will need to stop NNMi, then change the connection URL to point to the new Oracle host:

NNMi 9.0x & 9.1x: /opt/OV/nonOV/jboss/nms/server/nms/deploy/nms-ds.xml

NNM 9.2x:                /opt/OV/nmsas/common/deploy/nnm-ds.xml

Windows path names are:

NNMi 9.0x & 9.1x: <NNMiInstallDir>\nonOV\jboss\nms\server\nms\deploy\nms-ds.xml

NNM 9.2x:                <NNMiInstallDir>\nmsas\common\deploy\nnm-ds.xml

The Connection URL defines the Server name, port and DB name.

Re: NNM with oracle connection

Hello

In the file, search for "connection-url", it may show:

 <connection-url>jdbc:oracle:thin:@oracle.server.com:<port>:<db-name></connection-url>

Change the oracle.server.com hostname with the new hostname, assuming that the listener port and the NNMi instance name is still the same.

Re: NNM with oracle connection

Exactly same is the case for me. I need to change database server also with thr same i stance and port.

I have doubt either this change will be in nms-ds.xml files or in other file like nms-server.properties file. Or wehave also a tnsname.ora

Big confusion....
