APA configuration on 11.31 IA

I want to configure APA for auto failover along with load balancing.  Is it possible? If possible then please provide the steps. Please don't refer any HP APA Admin Guide or link. If you have practical experience then only please comment.

System Details: Single node

OS Version: B.11.31 U ia64

Installed HP APA Version:

HP-APA-FMT B.11.31.1503 HP Auto-Port Aggregation APA formatter product
HP-APA-KRN B.11.31.1503 HP Auto-Port Aggregation APA kernel products.
HP-APA-LM B.11.31.1503 HP Auto-Port Aggregation APA LM commands.
HP-APA-NETMOD B.11.31.1503 HP Auto-Port Aggregation nwmgr/NCweb libraries
HP-APA-RUN B.11.31.1503 HP Auto-Port Aggregation APA command products.

Software is configured in the kernel:

what /stand/vmunix | egrep -i hp_apa
$Revision: hp_apa: B.11.31.1503_LR

Network Interface: lan0 and lan1.

Configuration steps required through "nwmgr" or manual like: modifying /etc/rc.config.d/netconf, /etc/rc.config.d/hp_apaportconf & /etc/rc.config.d/hp_apaconf and stopping and starting the services like sbin/init.d/hplm stop, /sbin/init.d/hpapa stop and then /sbin/init.d/hpapa start, /sbin/init.d/hplm start.

Also I would like to know the best practice of the HP_APAPORT_CONFIG_MODE, where and when we should use the below supported value:

FEC_AUTO
LACP_AUTO
LAN_MONITOR
MANUAL

Hello

For me : 

FEC_AUTO is for  802.1Q trunking between HP-UX and switchs (CISCO).
LACP_AUTO is for  802.1Q trunking between HP-UX and switchs
LAN_MONITOR is for monitoring (Failover/FailBack) like MC/ServiceGuard.
MANUAL , i never use it ....but i think, it's the same as LAN_MONITOR but the FailBack is not automatic.
