Bind 9.2 on HP-UX 11.11

Dear all,

I need to install BIND-920 on a HP-UX B.11.11.

When i try to download it, i have always theses bundle proposed :
BIND-920_B.11.00.01.004_HP-UX_B.11.00_32+64.depot
DNSUPGRADE_C.9.3.2.4.0_HP-UX_B.11.11_32_64.depot

Where can i find Bind 9.2 for HP-UX B.11.11 ? (and not for 11.00)

Why the title of your pdf[0] is "BIND 9.2.0 Release Notes HP-UX 11i v1" if the System Requirements is HP-UX 11i v2 ?

In addition, i just find on this page[1] :
For BIND v9.2.0
HP-UX B.11.11

action: install revision B.11.11.01.011 or subsequent, remove "query-source port" and "query-source-v6 port" options in /etc/named.conf.

despite the content of your page, I still say it is possible to install bind 9.2 on an HP-UX 11iv1! (I have several server with this but I did not have access yet and I do not want to wait 2 weeks to log on and retrieve the deposit.)

However, this is what I found on this page[0]:

But the install failed :
swinstall -s /tmp/BINDv920-WUPGRADE_1111.depot BINDv920,r=B.11.11.01.014,a=HP-UX_B.11.11_32/64,v=HP

But the file /usr/contrib/bind/convert_bind is in the depot file ! Any idea ?

You should provide feedback on that security bulletin and say the ftp site doesn't work and point to the next bulletin you found.

Sure but HP no longer provides that obsolete version on software.hp.com.

I didn't see that ftp site on that c00957835 page?? How did you find it? I seem to find it in: c01835108

This is a networking problem with sd.
You may want to restart swagentd: swagentd -r

Ok i understand. But somewhere, there is obselete dns in intranet...

I already restart swagentd and after, i try this :
swinstall -s /tmp/BINDv920-WUPGRADE_1111.depot @ hpux1st:/

But i get same message. There is no network fs or nfs or something like. I just put my file in /tmp on the server.

To check connectivity, i check if "telenet hpux1st" works, and it works... To my mind, i think is not a dns problem. I search on google but i always get the same result "restart agent, check network.."

(I'm new on hpux, and maybe, i forget some important action to install bundle..)

I also tried :
-put BINDv920-WUPGRADE_1111.depot in the default directory /var/spool/sw
-tick in swinstall option "All targets to resolve the source locally" AND it works


But, now when i type swlist, i have this :
..
# Product(s) not contained in a Bundle:
BINDv920 B.11.11.01.014 Bind 9.2.0 upgrade

Now, i have to find (again) how make the init.d script (now juste copy/past the script but the command to make it)
