Re: Configuing double ipv4
Hi ,
Now I am clear that I will request for networking team to allocate Lan cable either to lan0 or lan 1.
Can I have the steps to configure.
will there be any impact or downtime to existing ip ?

Re: Configuing double ipv4
By default, yes you can login using either IP.
But if you want, you can configure some services (e.g. sshd) to accept incoming connections in one particular IP address only. Often this configuration option is called something like "BindAddress". Not all services will allow this.
You could even run two copies of a bindable service with different configuration settings, one bound to each IP address, if you find that useful to you.
