Extra APA lan interfaces

Hi,

I am using APA on my HP-UX 11.11 server dean.

APA is working perfectly but I am trying to figure why the extra APA lan interfaces lan901, lan902, lan903 & lan904 are appearing in the lanscan output?

root@dean:/etc/rc.config.d # uname -a
HP-UX dean B.11.11 U 9000/800 853835324 unlimited-user license

root@dean:/etc/rc.config.d # swlist | grep -i auto
J4240AA B.11.11.07 Auto-Port Aggregation Software

I have two add-in cards that I have aggregated ... lan2 & lan3 as lan900

My question is ... why are lan901, lan902, lan903 & lan904 showing up in the lanscan output

Re: Extra APA lan interfaces

Bonjour Shane,

How to say ? That is just a normal behavior : as soon APA is installed, lanscan will show lan900 to lan904 in lanscan's output. Even if none of those interfaces are configured.

May be there is a way to modified this, but as it has never been a problem for me, I never took time to search.

Re: Extra APA lan interfaces

They are listed in lanscan by default (see above) and not in ioscan, because they are virtual.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
