How to check the Duplex settings of Interfaces ?

Hi,

 

Q.) How to check the Duplex setting of an Interfaces ? Full Duplex or Half Duplex ?

 

Q.) How can we change the Duplex Setting of an Interfaces ?

Two ways the first obsolete.

lanadmin -x 0
# 0 from lan0

lanadmin -X 0 #To change duplex settings.

 

1000BaseT and faster cards require automatic speed detection. 100BaseT and slower cards require hard coded duplex settings.

nwmgr command is supported now. See this little guide link.

But how to change the DUPLEX Settings ?

 

Half Duplex....FULL Duplex ?

You can also use SAM or SMH GUI or TUI to modify the NIC settings.

 

From SAM -> Networking and Communications ->  Network Interface Cards

 

From SMH -> Networking and Communications -> Network Interfaces Configuration -> Network Interface Cards -> choose the LAN card -> press "a" - View/Modify NIC Attributes
