Network Information Service (NIS) on HP-UX 11iv3 Itanium 64bit

I have one master NIS server and 3-5 slave NIS server. The question is I want to decommissioned the master NIS server and make one of my slave server promote to master NIS server is this possible? 

Or do I have to do a migration of the master NIS server to a new hw?
