I am looking for a good free proxy-cache software to run on my rh6.2 box. Do you know where I can find it ?

Squid is the perfect software for you.
Have a look at http://www.squid-cache.org for more info.

You can download a RPM package from the following URL:

You can use squid, but if You need other apps, like ICQ, maybe You need application level proxy like socks. See http://www.socks.nec.com
On this place You can get MS Win client (if You need) that can socks-alize apps w/o socks support :-)
