SNMP process runs at 100% CPU

Hi Folks.

System details are:

  HP TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS Industry Standard 64 Version V5.7 - ECO 3
  on an HP rx2800 i2  (1.60GHz/5.0MB) running OpenVMS V8.4

OpenVMS itself is patched to Update 7.0

Periodically the SNMP process starts running at 100% CPU. There are around 370 active BG devices on this node.

In the meantime Ive stopped the SNMP service, its not strictly essential at the moment but could well be in the near futre.

So, any thoughts?
