Where is odump in 11.0?

In 10.x the odump tool was in /usr/contrib/bin/, but in 11.0 I can't
seem to find it there or anywhere else. I even checked the
cumulative ld32 patch that mentions odump in the description,
but there is no odump in the patch itself.

Anyone know where odump went?

Hello. odump is an unsupported, undocumented internal utility created by
the linker lab. The utility is provided "as is" in linker tools
patches (after PHSS_10436 on 10.x and after PHSS_19866 on 11.x),
and is installed in /usr/contrib/bin.

It seems as though you might want to located PHSS_19866 for 11.x

then select HPUX patches and make sure you select 11.00 because it defaults to 11.10.

Sorry I wasn't more clear, when I said the "cumulative ld32 patch that mentions odump" I meant PHSS_19866. Just to be sure, I double checked again and there is no file named odump in PHSS_19866. However, I have found a 10.20 machine and was able to copy odump from it.

I beleive HP were moving towards supporting odump at 11.xx and providing man pages ? The following info may prove useful however the exact timings may have drifted ?

Once the tool is shipped, its new location will be:

/usr/ccs/bin/odump
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The current patch number is PHSS_20014 to be replaced end of August by PHSS_21947. This will be the number of the patch where the supported tool can be found after Dart49 ships (approximately 6/00).
