Maximum Time for waiting an operation response

Hi guys,

I need to call a web service who is responding in a very long time(more than 1 hour), can the HPOO Studio 9.0 support that period without aborting the process. Or exists any way to configure the waiting time for a process.

Thanks a lot,

Re: Maximum Time for waiting an operation response

I would recommend to reconsider this approach with something like aSync implementation. E.g. your flow triggers the web service. Web service will trigger next flow or raise the flag once finished, or something like that. If you have SA and OO, then consider load the initialisation (such call of web service) on SA as main director, etc.
Flow can handle long running anyway if it's the only option. you may need to put some loop step into like check/sleep.

Re: Maximum Time for waiting an operation response

Hello,

If you want to configure the timeout you have multiple levels where you can/need to do this.

1) At the operation level (read, connection) using the timeout input of the operation.

2) At the RAS/Central level you can do the followings (in order to overwrite the default 20 minute timeout)
RAS timeout settings:

In wrapper.conf add a line:

wrapper.java.additional.XX=-Ddharma.ras.client.timeout=NN

where NN is is ms.

The above property is not enough. The following line must be added in Central's wrapper.conf:

wrapper.java.additional.XX=-Dras.client.timeout=SS

where SS is seconds.

Hope it helps,

For Studio, you can add a similar line to the "Studio.l4j.ini" file:

-Dras.client.timeout=<seconds>
