CD-Writer+ M820 no longer recognizes any discs
My 1 year old M820 (firmware version 1.23 as reported by Nero)had been working fine with the supplied PC card and my Toshiba laptop. Yesterday I tried to use it with a Mac using the lastest version of Toast. Toast recognized the drive, but when it started a burn session, it returned a hardware error. After that, the drive no longer recognizes any discs. It doesn't recognize recordable discs, nor does it recognize regular discs. Even when the drive is disconnected from any computer, just powered up, I insert a disc, and the LCD display on the unit would say "NO DISC".
Is the unit fried? It powers up, just doesn't recognize discs. FYI, when I connected it to the SCSI chain on the mac, all the settings (ID, termination) were correct.

Re: CD-Writer+ M820 no longer recognizes any discs
Hit the drive in table or when you put the disk push the cover. This is one of the worst products I ever got. I wasted $370
