DVD 400 I problems

until recently I have had no trouble with my drive I have the latest firmware installed but all of a sudden I am unable to burn a dvd+r or dvd+rw cd's burn fine nero reports unable to complete end of disk at once record now just gives me a write error I have uninstalled both the drive and the software and reinstalled tried different media to no avail on the +r 8 to 10 seconds into the burn process I get the error but nothing is written to the disk it still shows as blank on the +rw it goes to the end of the disk and gives me a write error the disk is unreadable and cannot be errased it shows as not being an rw disk anymore. I used to like this drive and would like to get it working again even though I had to go out and buy another drive manufactured by a different comapny because I have a small business converting peoples home movies to dvd's and could not be without a working drive.
