SureStor 320ex and 29160 and Windows NT4
We have just tried to upgrade a server from a Proliant 6000 to ML370G3. The server has an attached SureStore Optical 320ex jukebox and we purchased a 64bit 66MHz Single Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI card (part 154457-B21 which I understand is a re-badged Adaptec 29160. When connected to the new server the jukebox devices are all recognised, but we get errors in the event log (timeouts on SCSI channel 2) and the jukebox is inoperable.
Are the 320ex and the SCSI card compatible? What interface should we use on the 320ex? It has a wide connector for a differential connection, or a narrow connector for single-ended connection and the SCSI card has a wide differential connection so it seems logical to use the wide connector, but I saw another message which suggested using the narrow connector. In this case what cable should be used? If it's 68 pin to 50 pin then it needs to supply termination for the 18 pins not used, correct? The 3 metre limit also needs to be observed?
How is the SCSI card termination configured, or does this happen automatically?

Re: SureStor 320ex and 29160 and Windows NT4
Connect library by its 50pin connector only. Another, 68pin connector is FWD/HVD type, which is not compatible with LVD and SE (although having Adaptec 2944UW you can connect library by this 68-pin connector).
You need 68-50pin adapter cable (wide-narrow). If not, then try using internal SCSI card's 50pin connector. Cables - 3m max, SE termination
