hp cd-writer 8200 won't id itself on nero

Alright, I have a hp cd-writer 8200 series and it is on a usb cord. It says that it is both e and f. I have nero cd burning drive and it will not auto find my external burner. I have checked drivers, and things seem fine. when I go to look at my system hardware, where the cd-roms are it says that it is 8200e, where the usb cord is, it says 8200f. Perhaps that could be a problem? I need to figure out how to get the nero to find the burner because it doesn't read anything other than it is there. It will not say that it is hewlett packard or a burner

Hello!

Use the latest version of nero, could be that
version that you use not suport your drive.

I figured out the problem, for anyone else using nero, the bug was in the newer versions for the hp 8200 series, but not in the older ones, so I took the .dll file from the old and replaced the new one. Nero now finds that my cd burner does burn. thanks though, Kacey
