Kenny,
What machine do you have the writer attached to? What error does it fail with?

Re: HP cd-writer 9500 does not write audio

I just bought a Creative Labs writer. I had to enable DMA in bios setup and in the device options onder control panel/system before I could write an audio CD without buffer underrun (BUrn). After wasting only one blank media, I got an audio CD that sounds a good as the original.

Burning from .wav also helped reduce buffer underrun - burning from mp3 or other encoded format requires CPU overhead to decode as you go.

Only one problem - I have to disable DMA in control panel to get CDPlayer.exe to work!
