HP jukebox 1200mx

I have a HP jukebox 1200mx, bought on January 2003. In this time, the same problem has occurred twice, but on different drive (drive 2 and drive 4). Now, this problem occurs frequently on drive 1. When I want to read a file located on MO disk in drive 1, it takes more than usually. After that my drive is disabled. If I try to manually enable it, the same problem occurs again. Do you think it???s something wrong with this drive, and I should replace it? If not, what could it be, regarding that it has happened also to drive 2 and 4? Please find next a part of log file.

Can not read attachment. Looks like binary file. Please generate support ticket (with extension .ltt), zip it with winzip and attach again

Hi,
this kind of error, if found on differents drives (and as the unit is new) could be caused by defective media.
Try to identify which media is on the drive when it is put offline and try to isolate it.

Wrong again. You've attached event log instead of support ticket.
Open LTT, select library to the left, click big 'support' icon, click 'generate support ticket and save it to disk'. This file we need to be atteched

1. install latest version of LTT 3.2SR1 from http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/ltt/index.html . Now you have 2.5 installed (too old);
2. robot feels fine;
3. drives 2-4 are ok. They log
0x01/0x05510000 (A blank sector is detected)
0x01/0x06010022 (ODC: Cannot detect the SYNC and the 1st RESYNC)
0x01/0x06010024 (ODC: Uncorrectable error)
I think these are because you're using WORM disks;
4. drive 1 logs
0x08/0x07020161 (DSP: Focus on failed)
and it looks like hardware error.
I think the first you can try is to use R/W MO disks. Then evens logged by drives 2-4 should not be logged any more. Try using another vendor's disks (for test better use HP MO disks).
Then, if problem will still occur on drive 1 (if another drives can read SAME disks which can not be read by drive 1) then replace drive 1

We use HP WORM C7984A 9.1GB and we've tried with RW 5.2GB but the same problem appear : drive 1 is disable .
