Optical Drive 5200ex
I'm having problems with a SureStore 5200ex Optical Drive, connected to an RS/6000 running AIX 4.3.2.
It recognises the device as an hdisk, but not as an optical device. The device is set to optical mode via the dip switches.
Does anyone know if it requires special drivers? Another AIX box has a similar drive and reports device as optical rather than hdisk - no obvious drivers present on it.

Re: Optical Drive 5200ex
My next step would be to call IBM and see if they have support built in their optical disk driver for the HP MO devices.
