You will need specifications on the SCSI card from the IBM server.

Re: cable part codes
I have two jukeboxes connected to IBM server. One is of plasmon(G-Enterprise) and the other is HP(C1107J). Connector type is scsi.
Both cables need to male to male 68 pin
One cable needs to compressed to vhdci
and the other cable needs to be compressed to compressed .
is the above information enough to get the part codes..?

Re: cable part codes
What are you trying to do? Are you moving them to a different server or are not connected yet and you are planning to connect them? Do you know if the server scsi interfaces (scsi controllers) match the jukebox interfaces? Not the connection type but the scsi protocol type, HVD vs. LVD.
The HP C1107J jukebox does not come with a scsi cable because it it available with two scsi interface options, single ended and differential. The differential option is the old type, high voltage differential and NOT the newer low voltage differential (LVD). It looks like you have the differential interface 68pin. See page 1-7 in
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpg28163/lpg28163.pdf?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
You should be able to buy any scsi cable that is for high voltage differential interfaces and has the right connectors.
The same is true for the plasmon, it comes with LVD standard and HVD optional. You need to figure out which one it is becasue both interfaces probably have the same 68pin hihg density connector. Which G-??? model is it?

Re: cable part codes
Thank you very much for the reply.
I was trying to replace the scsi cable connected to both the jukeboxes(due to scsi errors popping on AIX server). Since i am placed at remote locations, want to know the cable details to place order. People at site are not able to provide this.
Plasmon model is G-Enterprise 1200EX
HP jukebox model is C1107J.
Let me know when you need anything more.
