PCM+ 3.0 don´t discovery 2520-24-POE switch

I use to have PCM 2.1 and I didn´t found problems to discover 2520-24 switch in the past. Then I have updated to PCM+ 3.0 and the discovery for model 2520-24 doesn´t work anymore, but only for this model, for the rest of the models(2610, 2524...etc) I have It works pretty good. The two 2520 models I used to have in PCM 2.1 It appears now in PCM+3.0 with green-tick and apperently discovered, remembered from the previous version I think, but the management doesn´t work. I have tried to rediscover the switch and also tried to discover a new one 2520-24 switch and I get this message from PCM+ 3.0 : Testing SNMP communication for device 10.16.143.17 Successfully established communication with device. Cannot proceed with Discovery. The device responded neither to a Serial Number nor to a MAC Address query :10.16.143.17 . I´ve tried everything that crossed my mind, cheking comunities, passwords, privilegies, etc.... It works with other models and the support client HP doesn´t show me any accuratety anwer. In the specs they say that the 2520-24 model is alredy suppoted  in PCM 3.0 Auto Update 5.

Any suggestions what that this error message stand for? and it´s possible solving way...

Thanks.

Check that you're running current SW for your 2520, and that your PCM is installed on a supported HW and supported English OS. If yes, call support.

Re: PCM+ 3.0 don´t discovery 2520-24-POE switch

Hello one and all...

the 2520-24G can be added to older version of PCM as long as you don't enable SNMPV3. It will show up in PCM as "HP Others".

We use PCM 0.400.06.628. We have recently changed over to HP Intelligent Management Center, which I find, much harder to use, is slow, and not very intuitive. (Just my 2cents worth)

You can configure the switch to run both, SNMPV1/2 and SNMPV3, just don't put in the "SNMPV3 Only" command, and setup SNMPV1/2 as normal.

Not a soulution, but at best a work around.

Hope this helps
