Re: Problem with "swreg" or "swacl"

I assume that /tmp/powerpath/EMCPower.HPUX.PI.5.1.SP2.GA.b113.tar is a file and is on a local filesystem?

bdf /tmp/powerpath/EMCPower.HPUX.PI.5.1.SP2.GA.b113.tar  # not NFS?

Any other error messages in /var/adm/sw/swagentd.log?

Re: Problem with "swreg" or "swacl"

Hi,

Please register the software executable / depot before installing. Untar first this tar file and select executable / depot file for swreg.

swreg -l

Then do installation.

If this is really a tape depot, this isn't needed.

>Untar first this tar file

You should not be untarring tape depots.  And in fact, the file should be renamed as *.depot.
