Re: 5406zl how to downgrade firmware
If you did follow the instructions in the release notes when upgrading, yes you should be able to downgrade without any issues.
If you didn't upgrade or didn't follwo the instructsions you still can downgrade, however there might be some issues with the configuration you have.
But my question would be why do you want or see the need to downgrade? If you are running into issues with the code you are running it's advisable to contact HPN support and open a ticket so they can fix the issue rather then you downgrading.

Re: 5406zl how to downgrade firmware
Hi Mik
we upgrade from
Software revision : K.14.34
ROM Version : K.12.20
to the last maintenance release
Software revision : K.15.04.0012m
ROM Version : K.15.28
we followed the release notes, and prerequisites, and it was ok
But NOW it seem there are problems with SNMP v1/2 !!!
I never downgrade a firmware on hp5406zl.
The procedure ifor downgrade is the same as upgradind the firmware ?
If the boot-rom version changes too , it will be downgraded like the firmware ?

Re: 5406zl how to downgrade firmware
Then a downgrade is no problem, the boot ROM will remain the same as it is now since it's backwards compatible.
Just make sure you save your config before downgrading (just as safety precaution).
The same procedure is used for a downgrade.
Sorry, I can't assist on the technical part regarding the SNMP issue, for that you need to contact HPN support.

Re: 5406zl how to downgrade firmware
last question, excuse me
downgrade will be possible too if we pass from actual K.15.04.0012m to K.15.04.0009m and not back to the
old K.14.34 from which we start the process ?
thanks

Re: 5406zl how to downgrade firmware
Hi Francesco
Yes, you can downgrade to 0009m.
What problems do you see with SNMP and 12m?

Re: 5406zl how to downgrade firmware
hi Arimo
we decided to upgrade to K15-08-0007 early availability.
SNMP problems seem to be:
SNMP (PR_0000046906)
LLDP-MED (PR_0000018681)
with K15-08-0007 smnp seems to be ok
best egards
