HP 3500 Gigabit switch and compatible redundant power supply

Hi All,

We have a scenario to upgrade one of our locations to acquire gigabit connectivity. We need 24 ports Ethernet switch (gig), and its compatible redundant power supply.

I am confused between RPS 630 and 620. We don't need PoE here. Which one is best?

Are 3500-24G-POE yl & 3500yl-24G-PWR the same? Or is it 24G-PWR is upgraded to support PoE and renamed as 24G-POE yl?

Thank you for the advise.

Re: HP 3500 Gigabit switch and compatible redundant power supply

you could use the 620 RPS/EPS for redundant power.

But in your case I would recommend the 3800-24G-POE+ or 3800-24G (without POE), because it can hold an internal dual power supply. The 24-ports comes in 4 flavours with 2x 10Gb-utp and 2x 10Gb-SFP+ and with or without POE+.
